Event Branding

Project

The International Chief Data Officer & Information Quality Symposium (CDOIQ) will take place in the Nordics for the first time, in cooperation with Aalto EE.

The event focuses on data leadership and information quality, bringing together industry experts and leaders, as well as international sponsors and community partners.

My role was to come up with the event's branding and designing a suite of promotional materials. These materials included templates for keynote speakers, countdown announcements, interviews and banners.

Challenges

Navigating the vision and expectations of a new business (NB) client was initially challenging, especially for an event with no design guidelines. In my first creative direction, I featured pulsing hexagon shapes to symbolize informational flow, but it didn’t fully align with the client's brand identity for the project. This required quick adjustments and deeper insight into their needs.

Once I understood their vision more clearly, I used their signature "serpentine" brand-shape to create a dynamic pulsing animation that aligned seamlessly with their brand.

Despite a tight budget and limited time for exploring new design concepts, I successfully delivered on-brand, visually engaging materials. This not only met their requirements but also helped solidify a future partnership.
